Bump Stops

Hey, I did a quick search but still couldn't 100% find my answer so sorry if it has been posted somewhere and I missed it.

I have a 2008 335xi coupe with HR sport springs and stock shocks. On smooth surfaces I love how it handles and everything but I live in the city and bumps are pretty common. I find that when I hit a bump in my car it feels like it pretty much broke something but if I go over the same bump in another stock car its a normal bump. I thought my solution to this would have to be aftermarket shocks but I just heard about getting E36 bump stops. Would this solve my solution? Any help would be awesome! Thanks!

Your shocks are underdamped and your oe bumpstops are too tall for those springs. Nothing like f.....g up the ride and handling of your bmw to make it look cool Sorry to be a dick; just seen so many of these threads over the last 6 yrs. Your best bet is c/o's if you want to lower your xi and retain good ride quality while improving handling.
You could try those e36m3F, e85z4R bumpstops with Koni sport dampers; see jwong77's thread for bstop p/n's.

Yea I know c/o woulda been my best option but I couldn't afford it lol. I plan on replacing shocks when the OEM ones go bad but I'm having some work done on the car soon and was thinking about getting the bump stops. Would they make a difference if I just swapped the bstops out without changing the shocks just yet?

Can anyone else help out? I also need to know if the e36 / e85 bump stops are compatible with a 335xi coupe 08? Any help would be awesome. The car is going to the shop next week so need to order soon.
