DIY chrome grills - E90
If you like the chrome grills on the 330 you can get the same look on your 325 fairly easy.
Just get a roll of stainless steel tape and cut it in 1/8" stips about 6" long. Then carefully fasten the strips over your existing grill. Probably will take you a 1/2 hour. Looks very OEM. |

Throw your hands in the air, if you's a true playa.

That does look good, but won't the tape peel off after washing/weather, etc?

I found that using chrome pin stripes works the best. I applied them about 2 months ago and they are still firmly secured even after rain, and a few car washes. I highly suggest the using pinstripes.

yes it took me some time to find the right size you want the tape to cover only the front part of the slats and make sure there is no over hang it looks beautiful. good luck

When it is time to remove the tape, the stuff comes right off. My car has been in extreme heat, its been washed, waxed, and rained apon many times and it still amazes me that the tape looks just as good as it did the first day i put it on. when my dad first saw it he thought it was done by a pro. believe me it looks nice and it does not look cheap by any means. good luck

Hey Guys,
These all look great. Where can I buy the stainless steel tape from? I am in Melbourne Australia... Available online perhaps. Thanks. |
