My New Ride Unveiled
sorry to disappoint you guys. I ended up going with the choice that makes most sense. i know you will hate it but since it's more reliable, nicer-looking, faster, and got more hip interior and better material than the 335 i decided to go with this:
![]() Yes, the G37. Sorry... Nice talking to you guys. Last edited by !Xoible; 08-17-2007 at 11:17 PM.. |

im usually not a fan of dropping. the guy was trying to convince me to drop it. I said let's see it. when i first saw the car it had like 4 more inches of space, i was like
![]() I thought i wouldnt say anything about it until i see if people notice it and say anything about it. I might drop the front, but i dont think the back is that bad. what do you think? also, the guy wanted me to buy racing springs and he said i have to buy shocks pretty soon. i didnt like the idea. any info on springs please? |

The guy you talked to is right, when you go to aftermarket springs on stock shocks...you are slowly killing off the shocks. They won't blow out today or tomorrow, it may be a year or several years, but they will go eventually. The best route is to go coilover or aftermarket shocks/springs...not just springs by itself. I personally think the car is that more aggressive with a nice drop to eliminate the gap. With 19s on, I don't even have to angle to enter/leave driveways anymore, just go up/down like a regular car would. |

You can just get springs in the mean time if you just want the dropped look.
Of all the people I know with just lowering springs...3 have blown out, but it was more than 1 year and a lot of miles put on them. Stock shocks can be bought at the marketplace for cheap as well. Or if you like the stance as is, then leave it. I have friends with coilovers on that are corner balanced, but yet they still have a 2-3 finger gap because they don't want to carry the burden of driving a lowered car, ie slow down to 5mph on bumps. |
