Can I go from 18" to 17"?

Would the car give me any error codes if I went from my stock 18" rims to 17" rims? I want to put on 17" rims so I can put on runflats that aren't low profile. I'm tired of damaged tires and rims from potholes.

I was told by the tire shop that the front wouldn't fit. I wish I could do that.

Correct. Taller tires can rub on the inside front suspension or on fenders depending on the specs of the wheels/tires.

You can indeed minus size to 17" but not many will clear the brakes. We have a complete list of the wheels we sell in 17" that fit at our web site :

Wheels http://www.tirerack.com/a.jsp?a=AH8&...eels/index.jsp

You will not get error codes by changing.

Any OEM E9x 17" or even 16" will fit fine.

He's got a 328 apparently, any 17 will fit given appropriate offset. Most 16 would too.
