How long does service take?

I dropped my 07 335i (CPO and extended maint) off at my dealership for a scheduled appointment on Monday night so they could start on the car Tuesday morning. I told them that the car had oil leaks (from what I can see oil pan or rear main and oil filter housing gasket, diff leak, an occasional miss at idle, rough start up, and wastegate rattle. In the past 3 days all that they can tell me is my oil filter housing gasket is leaking and they are not sure what is causing my problems. Today I call but the service adviser was busy, but the lady told me that they are diagnosing my car. Is this common practice? I work on cars and understand that it takes time but after 3 days I have no estimated time when I will get my car back or what is going to be fixed.

Did you get a loaner? Wish I had your problem: car will be all squared away for next to nothing and get to put wear and tare on the loaner instead of my car.

I did not get a loaner I should have. I am using a spare vehicle we have. I hope it gets all squared away it is not looking great. I am calling first thing in the morning to specifically ask what has been done to my car and what is the plan. I am tired of getting we are working on it, we don't know what is wrong, we are diagnosing it.
