oil leak

what's up felllas , so its come too the point when my car has been killing me with little annoying problems here and there ok lemme explain. its a 07 three thirty five ex eye with 80k . I just replaced the valve cover gasket which was a pain with all the wires and non sense design in the way and torque every single bolt to spec. parked the car for 30 mins and then move it and find a little puddle of oil under the car . when lifting the car and looking underneath the whole bottom engine cover is oil and its scary I check the oil level everyday as I'm scared and worried. does this engine have any oil pan gasket problems has any of you had them fail I know about the oil filter housing gasket I'm gonna replace that next just need time , what do you guys think , ask questions and I will respond looking for help

You might have to change the oil pan gasket and oil housing gasket. I've read that many people with higher miles have problems with both of them. So take some time and do both and you should be good. To change the oil pan gasket is a pita

Rule of thumb, start from the top. Did you roll the gasket accidentally? Check with a mirror. First gasket I would do is the oil filter housing. When it leaks it leaks onto the lip of the oil pan gasket and goes everywhere.

Yep, you beat me to it.

I guess the question is this: was the big puddle present before you did the valve cover job? If not, it's pretty damn likely the valve cover gasket came unseated. And like N54tech said, the oil filter housing is by FAR the most common oil leak on these engines.

but if the gasket came unseated or off its track the valve cover itself would not sit or tighten normally right ?

Wipe off all oil and see if it's still leaking. May just be remnance from the valve cover gasket leak. Can't hurt to cross your fingers either

If its rolled inbetween the bolt holes it will tighten and fit just like normal. Take a mirror and check.

I'm on the same boat. But I changed the oil filter housing gasket, oil pan gasket, and valve cover gasket 3 days ago and still have the same amount of oil under the car or more. Leaking like a quart of oil per week. This oil leak is driving me insane.

You guys may want to check oil lines that connect to your turbos (gasket).
I putting in a quarter every ~1k miles and everything points to rear turbo oil line gasket.
