Looking at 2009 328xi - what's in each package?
Hi,
First time poster looking at a 2009 328i XDrive. I can tell from the photos that it has a sport package but I can't tell from the features list if it also has the premium (or exec) package. I'm pretty sure it doesn't have the exec package but can't really tell if it doesn't have the premium or not. I think premium should have bluetooth, outside dimming mirrors and heated steering wheel right? The ad is: http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/rd...551475622.html The owner emailed with a list of features but I want to be sure what I'm looking at. What are the giveaways to tell for certain that this car does or doesn't have the premium package (or others)? Also, looks to me that this price is on the high side - a dealer currently has a 2011 328i Xdrive with premium, sport and exec package for $38k with only 23,000kms on it. This one strikes me as being worth about $27-29k based on what I'm seeing on the market in Vancouver. Thoughts? Thanks for any help on this. |

It has the heated seats so that means that it's definitely not base. Also, heated steering wheels come in all e90s in Canada (as far as I'm aware).
The price is a bit high though, since its at 60kms I'd try bringing it down to 27,000. Got mine (exact car as yours) with just under 50k for 28k. Good luck! |

I have a '09 328 xDrive, with Premium; it has exterior dimming mirrors, heated seats and the bluetooth connectivity. Afaik, there was no heated steering wheel option with premium, maybe with Cold Weather Package?
That price is high; mine is a CPO, and it was listed at 31K at the BMW dealership one year ago and with 49k km. I almost traded mine a month ago and with 61k km now, the dealership offered 22k. For a private seller car in those conditions I'd offer 25k-27k tops. |

There was no Cold Weather Package on Canadian E90s. Heated seats were standard on all models, too, so if something has heated seats it could still be a base model. The heated steering wheel was a stand-alone option.
Premium package in 2009 included: Leather Compass Mirror Auto Dimming Exterior Mirrors BMW Assist with Bluetooth Executive Package included: Alarm System Universal Remote Control Comfort Access Burl Walnut Wood Trim Lumbar Support Park Distance Control Hard to tell, but it looks more like leatherette than leather from those pics. And I don't think I see the BMW Assist button (closest to the driver in the panel where you'll also see the sunroof switch). It would have to have this if it had the Premium package. My guess is that it has Sports package (which it definitely does have because of the sports seats) and no other options.

Thanks for the fast help and advice on pricing! I've gone back to the seller to see if they're flexible on pricing and provided them examples of other 2009 BMWs with similar features.
