Finally JB4 G5,e85 yes,no?
I just ordered the jb4 g5, I plan on buying the dps dci and fmic very soon but i will be away for a few weeks on vacation, I plan to install the jb4 friday when it arrives I got it from a member here brand new.
to get the the point my question is, can I run about 40% e85 mix on stock car with jb4 g5 . Also what map will I need to run I will be at about 6800-7200 feet da on my trip back home.Im usually at close to sea level, Everyone around their uses e85 on bigger injectors and fuel pump of course at a high elevation, but I was wondering if I can run it on a completely stock car other than a jb4 g5 thank you. I will also be dynoing the car next week so I will post dyno sheets. thanks guys-Denise |

I really have done my research, I tend to only find answers for FBO cars ,I never can find literature on stock cars on E85.. assuming I have an ideal elevation and weather conditions what kind of power am I looking at with the JB4 G5 on 91 octane on map 1,and the G5 on 20-30% e85 on map 5? thanks again guys very helpful =)-Denise

I run around 40% E85 in my car and my only mods are a JB4 G4 board and the BMS DCI. Car runs really strong and I even managed to run a 12.173 @ 109.49 mph on a 1.870 60' time my last time at the track (and the DA was around 1000'). I'm pretty sure the only thing hurting my trap speed was that my charge air temperature was getting up to around 180* F on the back half of the track.
As the others have said, start out with about a 20% mix and see how the car reacts. I'm sure it will be fine and you'll be able to put some more in it. |

I mean not the best quality but they are used from a friend. He had no issues, Im a young woman on a budget. Wow @ 12.1 thats amazing for a g4 with a DCI. (example)So when using E85 I wait until tank is almost empty and I add 6 gallons of 91 and 1-2 gallon of e85. and then run map 5. sounds simple.

I would go for 30 and set the global boost cap to 16 or so since you are at such high altitude. I have run higher at altitude and while its fun, the turbos are really really working.

In the $400 range BMS looks to be a good choice. You can spend more or less. IMHO less is more risky on fit & material & more is just too much for two welded pipes. Regardless a 3" set should allow 15WHP more then you have now.

going with a used, high quality (AR, MS, CPe, etc) is another option....I did and it worked great.
Buying new, BMS DP's are great and have great fittment. Spend the money and get a quality set of DPs.
