Just ordered NGK 5992 plugs. Have question

I read in a thread that they need to be gapped at .022 and they come pre gapped at like .027 or .032 I forget. But how in the world do you check and set the gap to these four point plugs

I just ordered a set of these as well. I'm curious if I'll see a little more timing in my logs now. Either way, at least a 1-step colder plug is what we should all be running on tuned cars.

Think if it does run more timing well get a tad more power or just less chance of knock

I had autozone price match the 10.97 online price. I told them it was advanced auto and they didn't even question me. They just changed the price on my word lol

you only need those for much higher power you are running. no need without upgraded turbos.

I can't see it hurting. There's lots of people running this plug with what I have. Sure it's more beneficial with your mods

+1

It can either be the same or better. I'd rather know I'm following the rules and going 1-step colder for my extra hundred hp. I'm due for plugs anyway, so why not.

Is it still 0.22 gap recommended for FBO with oem turbos? Trying to solve the common idle shakes n shivers I've inherited since swapping out my original plugs a while back!!

Had the issue for a couple of years n had 3 sets of oem Bosch plugs in. I really wanna give these NGK's a try.

If anyone can confirm the gap should still be 0.22 also with oem turbos that would be cool?

I'm FBO stage 2 evolve tune, 420bhp n around 14psi.
