How to add a trunk sub/amp to '11 HK?

How would I go about adding a sub amp/amp in the trunk of a 2011 135 coupe with the HK system? Is there harness? I have the technic harness for the e90 with logic 7 which worked great, but the amp does not look the same in the 135 I just purchased. Any help?

Thats what I thought...but the only amp I see is under the trunk floor cover and it doesnt have the same type of attachment as the harness....these is no cover to pop off on the left side of the trunk where the amp was located in my other car as well as in the DIY install...unless im missing something which is highly possible haha

Go to www.bmwvin.com and determine which OEM system is actually installed in your car.

You need to remove the left trunk trim to access your OEM amp.

Okay will do. I noticed there wasn't a little plastic piece to pop off like there was in my old car. I will see if this works and let you know. Thanks!

In the E82 with HK the amp is located in the cabin. It's behind the panel left of the rear seat. What you are seeing in the trunk is the BT module. I have a video on the 1-series forum that'll walk you through accessing the amp. I can't provide a link on my phone, but do a search for Musicar E82 level 2 sub package.
