Are you the dealer by any chance?! Are they really a bargain? 335d is cloth and Cat D and the i is non Nav?

I wouldn't personally think that either are bargains - the 335i is an SE with manual - correct me if I am wrong but autos demand higher resell value and as above its non idrive.

May come as some suprise but, there is quite a demand for the non idrive cars. I personally know of 4 guys at work not including me that think it looks like a boil on Katie Price's bum.

Sat nav is a nice gadget but for some as you say looks ugly and is confusing.
The same with the leather. I had leather before in E46 and now cloth in E90 and I prefer the cloth interior to be honest (not the looks).

335i in manual is pure driver's car

Most buyers will want leather and Nav hence even in the secondhand market both command a premium.

No they command a premium because thats what dealers tell you. If you cant find your way around the country without satnav, you should not be allowed behind the wheel of a car.

The I drive is not just sat Nav. A forum search will reveal several threads where the merits of i drive were discussed at length.
yes I can find my way round the country without sat Nav as I am old enough to have been driving before sat Nav was introduced but just find sat Nav easier.
Nothing to do with dealers most of us are not that guillible. I would pay more for a car with I drive because I find it a useful optional extra.

I personally don't like the dash with it, and more importantly if or when it packs in it costs a small fortune to fix... (Obviously if you're warranties up that's no issue)

In the land of the 335i, 4 doors are worth less, manuals are worth less and non i-Drive are worth less.

That is not to say that it is not possible that someone would want a 4 door Manual without i-Drive, but that the demand on the 4 door alone is much much lower than coupes and convertibles. 4 door manuals without i-Drive are rare because barely anyone one wants them. On the flip side you can get yourself a fast car for cheap money if you don't want any of those options.

Also I agree, the dash does look bare without i-Drive. No different to the cheapest 1 series.

Anyone know why that 335i has a shark fin if it doesn't have any GPS or telephone stuff?

My preference is manual, but the iDrive doesn't bother me either way.

It will probably have Bluetooth, thats why it will have a Shark Fin aerial....

That is a possibility. I never understand why you need this to bluetooth to and from your phone that is in the car?! Is this just a stupid design decision?
