Hello I bought my car 2 weeks ago, The first week I installed a jb4 g5, the car didnt give me any problems I am also running 40% e85 other than that the car is completely stock. I did do the t golf mod the other day. I have not abused this car at all! Today when I was leaving the store I get on the road and I press the peddle to pass a car and my car didnt want to get into boost .Felt like it had no power what so ever! I have no idea what could be wrong their is no cluster lights or check engine. Please help me is this limp mode? did my turbos blow did my fuel pump blow anyone help and the car is not smoking and it sounds fine as far as I can tell. Thanks!

What will this do? I have not messed with the car at all other than the JB4 Ive never took anything off this car only has 50k miles and its an 07 I just bought this car it shouldn't be having problems.

this could be tons of different things. But your description is not very helpful.

1. Make sure your car is up to temp
2. Turn on boost on the gauges and see what you actually are boosting.
3. Try plugging in your laptop and looking for codes.

It's a 6 year old car with 50,000 miles. Hope it's an easy fix .

I let the car sit for about 20 minutes and than restarted it didnt have the issue, Very weird.

That sounds like your spark plugs. Same happened to me at around 52,000 miles. Replaced the plugs and never happened again. It happened when I really gave it some gas.

you should of done more research before modding. one week after you got the car? thats a quick jump dont you think. Shouldve waited till you learnt everything about your car.

your car must of been heat soaked (search it up if you dont know what this is) also you shouldnt push the car to much when its cold. let it warm up to a certain temperture thats when your cars warm enough to run full boost.

like the op said above there can me numerous reasons this has happened.

I did do research .The car was at temp. How could I beat heat soaked while not being warmed up completely? I am on map 5 40%e85.

Yea I would email Terry a couple logs of your car doing a 3rd-4th gear pull at WOT so he can check if you have a healthy car. Healthy car meaning LPFP, timing, ign adv, ect.,..You have to understand like ^ said its an older year model car that has 50K on it...vacuum lines degrade over time as well as some other components on the car. Plug your USB cable in and see if you have any hard codes saved or whatever codes you do have.
Also I dont think you have to do the "golf tee" mod with the G5 board or G4 board because you can set it to do it automatically with your steering wheel buttons. If I'm not mistaken, the golf tee mod is a vacuum line as well.. Dont know if it affects anything but better safe than sorry.

Also check of your charge pipe if it came undone or any intake hoses. BMW forgot to clamp my CP and it blew off on the highway and I had no boost.

I was not awear of being able to do it through the steering wheel, I did email terry he asked for a log but I dont have a usb does anyone have one for sale? This car drives great it was just that day and sometimes it feels hesitant from a red light its weird.The car is very quick.Ive taken out cammed g8's and modded 5.0 mustangs but sometimes seems to run weird maybe im adding to much e85 or maybe the car isnt warmed all the way...

This...happened to me twice in my 135i. Charge pipe elbow had a rip in it so I bought a new one from HP Autowerks. The second time my DVs were not working properly so I bought Forge DVs. As others have pointed out it could be anything affecting boost. GL

BMS and myself offer the BMS Cable. You can also get it as a package when you purchase the JB4 new.
