Which is the right iPod retro kit??
I've got a 2007 335XI, Professional headunit, no USB plug. I know I need the dealer installed kit that goes in the glovebox, but I'm having trouble getting the right part number. realoem shows several different part numbers and it's my understanding some are not being produced anymore? I've searched around and haven't found any recent and complete info either.
When I called the local BMW parts desk, I just got this angry lady who didn't have a clue...plus they quoted me 4.5hours labour, which is a bit messed up. So my goal is to have my iPhone charging, showing song data on the LCD, and changing songs with the steering wheel buttons. ANyone know?? Thanks |

Better look at the Dension website first.

A Dension 500s BT will get you ipod , usb and a2dp streaming and it will be all digital. Also it displays the tunes on the screen. lcd OR Idrive. |

I am aware of the Dension unit but I'm looking a lower cost option as I don't imagine I'll Be keeping the car too long. Plus I'm a bit leery of aftermarket as I used to have a DICE unit on my old e46 that was very glitchy.
