Awww man! I must have missed bimmerfest this year! It was today? lol just kidding, but your date is wrong. And I think there's a caravan being organized right now. Its on the norcal bmw group on facebook. Same people as last year is organizing and i dont think it's on the forums yet because it's still 3 months away.

I have also reached out to my drive group and club groups who are not on the forum in an effort to have them join either one or a combined caravan.

Below is the proposed drive details which I forgot to include in the original post.

Meet in Tracy, take I5 and cut over to Hollister. Here we could meet the Bay & Bavarian 500 gang to hit a 55-mile section of back roads for a change of pace on the long drive south. We would then cut over at King City and follow the old route to Paso Robles. After a pit stop, cut back over to I5 and down to Pasadena.

Total trip from Tracy is 412 miles and would make for a full day of driving. Longer for those of us coming from Sacramento Area and Reno / Tahoe.

I hope to have some group rates on hotels wrapped up this week or next.
the more the merrier!

Might consider going again this year. Initial meetup spot last year for some Bay Area guys were at a hardware store by Gilroy. My friends and I took the 101 down rather than the I-5 and I enjoyed the scenic, not-so-boring route compared to the rock infested and police filled 5.

Question to those out there.

1. Would you prefer to drive along the ocean as much as possible

Or

2. Take a scenic drive by a lake on the old Bimmerfest after caravan route and then pick up the ocean in Santa Barbra

I got some good news for those going to this years Bimmerfest May 18th at Pasadena.
we decided to give out a free set of 19x8.5 and 19x9.5 Matte black wheels to fit a e92 BMW, only one catch....... you must stop buy our booth and pick up a MRR TShirt to wear during the show, this qualifies you for a free raffle ticket, yes you get a free shirt and a chance to win a free set of Brand new 19's. what do you guys think??
make sure to email me your name, size and e90post id name to have your shirt reserved.
info@mrrwheels.com " i want a free set of 19's " thanks guys !!!

I think you should have PMed the thread / organizers of this caravan to ask first as it polite.

Nice idea but what about all the other cars that are not E92's as part of this caravan? So good idea, bad execution. Needs to be for ANY BMW model.

PM if you want to chat more

kind of makes sense though, mrr is posting in e90post. It would have been awkward if they posted on bimmerpost or something.

This caravan is for more than just E90's. That is my point. Would be better to offer it to ALL makes that are in this caravan.

Awesome - this is the correct thread to RSVP for Reno/Tahoe (Elk Grove meetup) correct? Will probably head out from Reno Friday night and stay at the hotel.

Very interested - just have to get some additional details and ensure I can get the days off of work. Thanks!
