1st time w/335IS, just JB4 and DCI 12.2s @115 mph BRADENTON

1800 mi on my 13 335 IS DCT. Ran map 7, 102 octane or so. After I figured out how to two step LC, I went 12.2 @115! Pretty excited especially at my 1.9 60 ft on 19 RFT's. I really need the flash on top of my G5 ISO, hence the low trap speeds as it seemed to be leaning out in 3rd and 4th gear. I think 11's are there with some adjustments! Terry and I are working on and should return to the strip in next few weeks. Pic of slip attached. Bradenton was doing fun runs and wouldn't post times, not traps so, I have half a time slip lol.

Here is the go pro video of run (forgot to stop vid..)

+1 above on BuraQ
First two runs using other methods were 2.2 60 ft + and I was CURSING THE DCT..

Now using the two step, I just need to figure out how to land a low R/T

It comes off the line at 2500 rpm, HARD and consistently!

Nice! I am thinking of hitting Bradenton on Thursday. I have an 11 second goal. I just need to get my 60' under 2.0.

Question: were you running a beta 17hex for the IS & 1M?

Now that you understand the "LONG" version on the LC method, the short version is done with same "coordinated foot work", but instead of "holding" down the gas peddle, post kick down, for the RPMs to hit 5k, you will press down on the gas peddle pass the kick down then let off "immediately", dont hold it.

Do this couple of times, while still holding firmly the brake, what you will see is that you are reving the RPMs while in LC mode, like in a MT.

After the desired rev, release the brake immediately after releasing the peddle from the kick down switch, then apply again the gas peddle "midway", DO NOT hit the kick down. This will allow you to feather the acceleration. This is done very quickly and has to be timed with the flash of the yellow light.

Practice first to get a better feel of it

Ok, great. Thanks, BuraQ I'll try that! I appreciate the detailed explanation. Bear, I was running the G5 ISO 16, I just loaded the 17 hex and will log an e50 log again. Previously I was trimming out with more than a 30% mix. How do you like 17 hex? What differences have you noticed?

Bradentons a good track! I think they only list the other person' s time during events. The last time I was there, I ran neck to neck with a steal-wheeled camaro v6.. I want to see what he ran , thinking my reaction time just sucked or if he was running some laughing gas.

Only had a quick on-ramp run today, straight 93 octane withy Map6....its smoother then 16B & seat of the pants seem fatter in the mid ranges. Placebo effect discounted it should be stronger then 16B.

BuraQ, you got it! That sounds like a hell of an idea. I might need the BMS flash to compete with you, however.. Or downpipes. Speaking of that, how do you like the DP's? I'm sure they reduce lag and add a few HP, Improve sound?

A lot more torque, and better response. Planning on remove the mid catts to reduce more restriction.

exhaust is louder since I added them

I am glad I got them. Had them tailored a bit for a perfect fit on the car
