Hi all,

Please note this is not a for sale advert as at present I’m keeping the car so please don’t ask.

I am after a little valuation advise please. I have been doing some maths (non man maths, serious stuff!) as my mileage has gone from 7,000 a year in the 330i to almost 15,000 due to a new job and the fuel costs though manageable, at around £1,800 more than before, are not ideal considering a 320d should be a lot better.

What would I realistically expect to achieve when selling a 330i with the following details in today's market? (I have my view which I will add later but to get the sums right, I would like others expect opinions)

56 plate M-Sport 330i Auto Touring
FSH (BMW and independent)
Good tyres all around
Wheels need reconditioning
Present milage is 36,000

Not put any thought into LPG but... I can't afford to lose any boot space.

Saloon, coupe, convertible, estate? Guessing estate as you have roof railing?

Depends if you want to trade it in or hold ouot for the right private buyer..

I'd guess if you fancy holding out for a private buyer 11k would be on the money considering the low mileage.

I'd not expect any more than 8-9 as a trade in.

Sounds like a nice motor.
If it wasnt for the auto box, be almost exactly what I would like to move to when/if I have some little ones.

What you thinking of replacing this with? E91 320d? F31 320d? :P

Although I can't offer any advice on you car price myself, I can suggest doing this:

Pay £3.95 and put all your car details in, you'll probably get the best answer there IMO. I did it Monday night regarding the wifes car and now know for sure what I'll be advertising it for.

xPETEZx Thinking about a 320d E91. Will look at the A4 and the C-Class but I really like the 320d myself.

If you look at what's around on Autotrader i think you're on the money, retailing around £11,500 or maybe even a little more on a forecourt (depending on paint, wheels, tyres, etc.).
£11k private, £9k or a little under as a p/ex i'd guess.

My '07 is a similar spec but with 60k miles and i paid just under £10k from a dealer a couple of months ago.
