Stickiest Tires? Nitto NT05, Michelin PS2, Michelin Pilot Super Sport?
Which ones are the stickiest in your PERSONAL EXPERIENCE?
Nitto NT05, Michelin PS2 or Michelin Pilot Super Sport? Not really worried about the longevity of the tire, only worried about the amount of sticky icky |

Not sure you will be able to accomplish that on a street tire with your mods. Ever consider DDing on Nitto NT555R or Toyo R888s?

While on the street i'm usually no more than 450tq. We'll see how NT05s hold up. If they dont, i can always sell them and get something more aggressive!

In my experience the nt05's were decent. They hook up better than cold nt555r's do on the street, but the warm grip isn't even close.
I tested 60' times with a bunch of different tires, I just bought every recommended tire when it showed up in the used classifieds for cheap. In my experience the Bridgestone Re-11 were the best streetable grippy tire. The AD08's were close and very good for back-road fun, but for pure straight line performance the re-11's cut the best times for me. All 3 tires recommended below would be great too. The supersports are similar to the re-11, but the sport cup's were horrible for straight line acceleration.

I would do NT01's all around they are a great Sticky tire made for road courses but will also launch well. NT05's are specifically made for Drag Racing.

My nitto invos got better traction than PSS shockingly....nitto's where bigger so that may be a factor. PSS are a bit better in the rain, nitto less noise but a bit to much feed back. I am thinking of going your route to.

Hi Sick,
I've used the NT05s and Michelin Pilot Super Sports before on the street and track. As you remember from Shift S3ctor I'm running R888s on the street now. IMHO: R888 > NT05 > SS The Super Sports did not last long, I destroyed them pretty quickly. The NT05s were pretty good, they were sticky even after abuse. I think I might use them again. Obviously the R888s are the best, but also $. They also seem to take longer to heat up. Go with the NT05s. My 2c. See you at the track. -Pete
