Race Fuel now Available in Miami on US1
Just a heads up for those of you who did not know, Shell gas station on US1 and SW 104th st is now selling unleaded race fuel. It is not available at the pumps but by 5 gallon jugs. I'll see if I can get pricing. Convenient if anyone wants to fill up before heading to the tracks.

There's a Sunoco off of US 27 and Sheridan Street (I think?) near the drag strip (which is close to I-75) out there that sells 110 octane leaded race fuel. I have a 70 Mustang Mach 1 with a 600+ rwhp 428SCJ that just absolutely loves this stuff, though I wouldn't necessarily recommend running it on a newer car that is setup for unleaded fuel. Consistent running of leaded race fuel will likely destroy the cats pretty quickly. It was $8.99/gallon when I was coming back from the Keys on Saturday night though, so it's not cheap. They also sell 100 octane low lead av-gas. I want to say that was around 6 bucks a gallon.

Wow...noticable differents after about 5 min of driving the ECM must have adapted and re-adjusted timing etc, etc.... I noticed much smoother idle about 100 rpms higher, quicker throttle response along with very hard smooth pulls through the gears. Now this was just a test at $9.25 p/gal I wont be doing this unless there is some type meet or event where I'm trying to hang with the N54's. |

You have VP race fuels on Andrews Ave between Prospect and Oakland Park Blvd...http://www.vpracingfuels.com/page469663.html They sell the whole gammit so be careful of what you choose. VP/100 is the best for our cars its unleaded/oxygenated 100 octane $9-$10 p/gal, but at 10:1 and 10.7:1 I would mix 50/50 with 93. Also Sunoco 21250 Sheridan St Pembroke Pines sells unleaded AV fuel 100 octane LOW LEAD @ 5-6 bucks a gallon. I wouldnt use because it contains some lead, if I mixed with mostly 93 unleaded for the same reason, there is no real benefit with our compression ratios at anything more than 96-98 octane. Guys I happened to pump gas there today. The lady quoted me $60 for URT 100, $70 for URT 105 and $78 for some other one. ( I think she said advanced gas or something). All in Red five gallon jugs.
I never knew you can buy this at gas station and didn't know it was that expensive for just 5 gallons
