VMR VB3 18"x8.5" offsets

Looking to put some VB3s on my pre-lci e90 330xi. What is the recommended offset for a square setup with 235/40/18 tires? I am seeing ET40 in some places, ET35 in others. Thanks for the help!

ET35. ET40 is extremely conservative and may look no different than stock even with a wider wheel.

Thanks for the responses. I figured ET35 would look better, but the sponsors keep telling me ET40 is the standard setup for the e90 with 18" x 8.5" VB3s. I was concerned that the ET40 would rub the strut with a 235/40/18 tire with 4 passengers in the car.

Sponsors/ vendors are always conservative. Many times, when people go with the basic 8.5 et35 9.5 et35, after a while, they are asking what size spacers to get it more flush, if people would search more they wouldn't be disappointed of the wheel specs.

You have pre-lci e90 so with the wheel width of 8.5.
I would go with offset 25 front and et15 rear.

Here is my car with winter setup 17x8 et20 front and et10 rear. Those suggested specs above will extend to same point.

ET40 should work just fine on your car. You could always space the wheels out to your liking if you're after something more aggressive.
