320si remapping on a rolling road - anyone?

Has anyone on here ever had a 320si remapped on a rolling road, and if yes, with what performance gains?

Had mine done last month. 0% performance gain... The car would revert to its basemap every time the tuner went near the ignition timing.

I have had contact with a guy who ended up with 210hp but that took a new intake, schrick sport cams, a custom exhaust manifold with cat delete. All mods that cost big money. I have asked around a lot but the message is always the same - forget it. If you want more hp get a 335i it will be less expensive.

I still love my SI though I had hoped for some more power.

Do You know what intake he has?

Im looking for something to replace what look like a restrictive original.
And do you know how the car performes with the mods? Less torque in the low range, so have to rev it more maybe?

Don't bother remapping an NA car unless you've done mods that mean it no longer runs well.

Especially in this tread

320si is notorious for not having the optimal stoichiometric mixture. So a 320si are one of the few NA cars I would recommend to check if a MAP is useful

Usually it's enough to get a software upgrade from the dealership. But in some cases that is not enough.
