Emergency Help!

Can't start the engine. Car is making this ticking noise and the emergency light button flashing rapidly. Any idea??

Your battery is dead...the ticking is a starter not getting enough juice to crank over...Either dead battery or starter is gone...Go ask someone to give you a boost

Not to be a dick or anything but you have Rb's and a ton of mods and you dont know what to do when the battery is dead? Sigh...

Odds are its an 07 so the battery is 5 years old and most likely dead. Most of the time the car wont make any sound if the starter is dead.

I didn't assume the battery is dead because I just replaced it less than a year ago. When my first battery went out, I was still able to turn the ignition on without the motor running. This time, it is completely dead. All I got was the ticking noise.

The cable issue causes there to be no power, for anything.

What is the voltage across your battery?

Yep. check voltage. Battery may have died prematurely 'cause of alternator.

I was able to jump start it last night so now it's all down to battery or alternator. Hopefully it's just the battery.

When you replaced the battery, did you reprogram/register it? It might be as simple as that.

No I didn't. But it was working fine for almost a year now.
