Well, it happened. I noticed a chip in my front air dam that can't be simply cleaner-wax'd out. I thought I could go forever with my body being mint.

hehe since that finance manager got me to take the $599 "protection package," I'm going to try it. I mean at minimum I need touch-up paint. It's like it went through the material and the paint is gone.

I was wondering how long I could keep the body mint. My last new car in 1998 lasted a full 7 mos. I just hope the BMW isn't like the Nissan, because after the first one, it was like 3 that month and then all of a sudden the other side got 5 the following month!!

But at least that $599 protection covers PDR for 5 years...I used to say definitely not worth it when taking delivery, but now I may reconsider...

I was able to keep my truck scratch and ding free for 3 years and 2 months. Then I was washing it last weekend and the hose slipped out of my hands and slammed onto the hood.
