Sooooo is any1 else here playing BioShock? I got it earlier this week on my 360. Played the demo and loved it, bought the game and it's even better :rocks:
Great graphics and audio, controls are easy, and the voice acting is top notch. So many different accents and it adds alot to the storyline. Multiplayer would've been a nice addition to the game, but apart from that it's enjoyable and somewhat scary (scare factor seems to wear off after awhile, especially once you get stronger with all the upgrades). Right now I'm on the Farmer's Market level (5th level, part of Arcadia I guess) and I've decided to play the whole game harvesting the Little Sisters. ![]() I've read it's a 20-30 hr game. I'm taking my time though, meticulously looking through everything. I don't think I'll be done with it before Halo 3 comes out though, which is next on my game list. Then Halo Wars is in December ![]()

bioshock sucks, but i guess its what i should have expected from a console game
it consists of, run around, kill one or two guy in your way, trigger an event and be forced to kill a wave of guys, rinse and repeat the only thing its good for is the environmental graphics which are stunning, but game play is a 2/10 |

It's out for Windows XP too I believe, but I guess that wouldn't change the gameplay much. Some of the powers I saw in the demo get even more impressive but I'm not that far yet.

I've got it here for the 360. Or rather my roommate does. I haven't played it yet because school starts back up in a couple weeks and an addicting game is the LAST thing I need.

pick up the controller. pick up the controller! push the glowing x button in the center of the controller. PB4UPLAY. push the power button on the remote. as the game goes through the producer screens, use your left hand and use it to grapple your testicles. with your right hand, use a lighter and set your schoolbag on fire. and get to that game bitch! u know u want to!

![]() yes its a nice game, but its rather predictable in that sense i do admit it scares the shit out of me often though ![]() beyond that though its more of an eye candy adventure game in first person oh, and i have played FPS since duke nukem and doom, so i think i just might no a thing or two about them, i wonder if you have even been in dos before? ![]() |

got it at block buster yesterday came home with it and started playing at 6pm to 3am. took a long sleep woke up 3pm on the same day showered and ate and 4pm started playing to 7pm. so all together it took me 13 hours lol.
some parts were a PITA like the photos, emp, and flower formula shit lol. but overall amazing game. graphics, shades, audio were all so amazing. comes to show how new technology (Video cards, etc) are these days. yes i played on 360 and rented it b/c i didn't want to dl the damn thing and with this new securom on the bioshock pc versions it seems a bit harder to crack. well anyway i beat the game with resuing all the sisters. does anyone know if the endings are different if you consume all of them? PS: i would have to say the closest thing that can match bioshock is the soon to be released halo 3 and F.E.A.R. FEAR was such a great game. great story and everything came through. |

![]() I heard there's 2 diff. endings based on whether you decide to harvest or rescue the Little Sisters. I guess if you harvest more than rescue it'll trigger different endings and cut-scenes.

Bioshock is up there with Half Life in my opinion. The story/graphics/action/sound etc etc are all top notch. One of the best games (FPS) that I've ever played. (and thats a lot!)

actually the designers and producers of BioShock tried specifically to break out of "traditional" FPSs. the AI is some of the best ive seen yet for any game, be it console or pc. rather then the cliche, linear story of most FPSs; BioShock leaves the ending/story up to the player. the player has complete control over how the story progresses which makes for a completely new form of gameplay. this new take on gameplay and storyline, paired with amazing graphics is why BioShock doesnt "suck". it just sounds to me like your one of those pc gamers predisposed to your gaming platform and if youre basing your judgment on the demo alone, which you very well could be, then you should take more time and play the actual game. ps, please ignore my blatant disregard for pronouns and apostrophes proper syntax, grammar, etc [/rant] |

uhh i have the full game not the demo... and lol @ the non linear story line being a break from the traditional, that been done for a long time now, and the number of branches are minimal (from my understnading theres only two endings
![]() ![]() as for the AI, im sorry but that was all hype the "learning" thing is crap, theres two modes, attack from distance and shield to reload and the chase type that follows you around, there are MANY MANY MANY; MUCH MUCH MUCH better ais then bioshock has again, its a nice game from a visual and story prospective, but gameplay blows BTW lock and key? oh yea, thats REAL original ![]() i invite you to try and explain why its so groundbreaking, because it IS just more of the same with a crappy AI and an EXTREME scripting in really nice packaging |

you make it sound as if console games dont sufficiently appease your high gaming standards and honestly i guess i took offense to that for whatever reason ![]() |

for one thing if you play in widescreen the use the same sensitivity without having it adjust, what your left with is a heavy horizontal sensitivvity with lower verticle, i dont think i should have to tell you what that meens in an FPS additionally the menu sensitivity does not scale the same as gameplay sensitivity, so what your left at @ playable game sensitivity is a menu where you have to move your mouse 10 feet across the table in order to move an inch, now this is partly because i have a super sensitive gaming mouse and have to play with game sensitivity at a minimum, but it should still have been prepared for and finally there is a heavy conflict between windows mouse acceleration, driver mouse acceleration and game mouse acceleration, it seems 2 out of three of these are acting in the game which makes for VERY rough movement, again in an fps this is a death blow sooo :finger: im sorry that my "high gaming standards" were not met and i shared it, how horrible |
