e92 car cover
I'm fucking fed up of birds shitting on my car. It was lovely and clean at the weekend, and now its covered in bird poo. Bastard flying rodents, every year in Crewe there are thousands of the blighters flocking around in evening covering everything in shit.
So im thinking of getting a car cover, ive seen them ranging for a tenner on ebay to £100 online. Are they any different? Does anyone use a cover? Id need one that is easy to put on and remove as id only use it at night and every other day when not driving to work.

I seriously considered getting into falconry and flying a Harris Hawk around every day like they do in trafalgar square. In the end I cleaned out the garage and put the car in there lol |

I've got a Specialised CC and have to say that it does a pretty good job, never going to be as good as a warm dry garage but not bad...
This is the second cover I've bought from them, and this time round i'd done my research, hoping that there would be a mid ground between £50 and £300 range since I had last looked, but no not really, at least not anything worthwhile. If you look at reviews that are on the net you'll see mainly complaint about badly fitting universal covers (sizes in M/L/XL etc.) which are manufactured in the Far East (cheap gray/black plastic) and then at best marketed against a bad library picture of any old car on eBay.. Over a period of time they would scratch/wear at your paintwork if you let it.. If you can spare the cash worth the £250+ spend for something decent weight/lined/breathable/that fits - I know sounds ridiculous for a car cover but really is a case of you get what you pay for!! See from your 'garage' you had a Cupra R, had an 03 plate myself from new (QST map) and had that until last year with the cover for when not in the garage and definately meant paint was another class than most 9 year old cars... If you do go this route, have to wait a month or so, so will not stop the 'birds' dumping on your car in the short term...!!! ![]() |
