Did not install capacitor harness on BSW speakers*** now what

I got some BSW speakers yesterday for my E93. There was absolutly no instructions in the packaging. I hooked up the passenger side mid and tweater and tested it for about a minute or 2. I then did the drivers side and after installing the tweater I found a notice that said " to install the included capacitor harness between each front tweater and mid range drive. Failure to do so will result in irrepairable damage to the tweaters."

Unfortunatly I did not install this capacitor harness on the passenger side and I tested the speakers for 2 minutes max. Does anyone know if I would have done damage with such a small amount of use?

if the speaker still sounds ok then you are probably ok, install the cap and dont worry about it.

I'd contact the seller or company just to make sure, you don't want your expensive car to go up in flames now because of a misinstallation.

Thanks......I ran out of time last night and won't be able to remove the panel and put the harness on until later tonight and then test the sound.

There won't be any flame the capacitor is just a high pass filter.

A high pass filter that can burst into flames if added inline after speaker installation. I've seen it too many times, and it's always ends in fiery death.

There always has to be a sarcastic response to every thread. People need something better to do.
