Overboost problem, all jb4 maps

Ok so I've looked up everyone's over boost problem and Terry contacts them and they email him the logs but don't ever put what the solution to their problem was. So I'm asking for help, and this time ill post the solution to my problem so other people can just read it.

So E90 DCI, DPs, Exhaust, JB4.
In all gears boost levels go to the moon and hold. Only in gears after 3rd I throw codes and go into stock boost mode. Codes are typical overboost code and low boost mode engaged. I can repeat what happens all the time. Now could it be the following?

A). Boost solenoids are bad.
B). Turbos are bad.
C). Waste Gates are stuck.
D). Vacuum line leak.

Remember this happens in all maps. Even with JB4 turned off.

Feel free to pm me. Thanks

Not yet I'm trying to see if other N54 guys have had this issue before I email him. That and I don't have a recorded log yet since I work like a slave. But what are your thoughts?

Since this is happening without the JB4 as well just dealer it, no? Assuming you have warranty of course.

Hahaha warranty? What's that? My car is full bolt on running E85 I don't think dealership will like my car as soon as the hear me pull up. I'm just trying to see what people think. I have already emailed Terry just waiting for his input. I'm thinking the culprit is either the boost solenoid or the MAP sensor.

Thoughts anyone?

if its happening with the JB4 off its not the JB4.. Remove the JB4 completely and see how it goes... If you are experiencing the same issue you have a separate software/hardware problem, which will probably require a dealer/indy visit.

If you have a warranty left on the car or rather CPO i'm guessing at this point your warranty dosen't just fly out the window because you have bolt ons the problem has to be related to the bolt on. They won't test your fuel unless they suspect the issue is fuel related.

Will do, I'm gonna get under the car this weekend and check if any lines are off or if the waste gates are stuck. If all is good mechanically then I'm gonna order some new solenoids.

As for my warranty... Nope no mo. I have 107k on my car. I travel a lot lol. But instead of taking it to the dealer if rather ask people that actually work on their cars no just take it to the dealer, waste of money. Thanks for your advice though. <---- that's not sarcastic tone by the way.

So went through the car, waste gates aren't stuck and vacuum lines are where they are suppose to be. Now I'm going to order some new solenoids.

If you posted a log of the event it might help, but the boost control solenoids is a decent guess, especially at 107K. I replaced mine recently at about 55K and they were definitely not functioning nominally based on some testing I did with the mighty vac.
