Yesterday my car was parked on the forecourt of my work, I was serving a customer I was doing her tyres she had a child in the car and was opening the door and generally messing about and before she left I checked my car which was parked next to it now I noticed a small chip in the paint and a dent so I told her she damaged my car, she said sorry etc but the I said sorry doesn't pay for the damage, she said I have no money go through insurance.

So I did thing is I have a body shop who I trust very much, but spoke to my insurance and they said they will not use my body shop it has to be a so called "approved" body shop which to be honest some of the work from these "approved" body shops are utter rubbish and they said if I wanted to use my body shop I would loose no claims and have to pay my excess which is complete crap considering she hit my car and admitted she did.

Really don't no what to do any suggestions?

Couple of the women here at work have had Smart Repair and Chips Away out the repair door dings on site. And I have to admit they made a really tidy job.

Or you could say "tough luck" and go through her insurance.

I am pretty sure you are entitled to use whoever you like if you sort out the quote etc.

You may find you have to get three quotes and the insurance co. picks which one you will use.

Go through her insurance. Its not your problem she cant control her kids!
