Tyres again.
Right, for the last 6 years I have been driving on runflats and become accustomed to them. This winter I had Dunlop D3 winter tyres fitted and I am really impressed with the ride quality and quietness. So now I am going to ditch the runflats. I have been checking out different manufacturers and decided I fancy the Dunlop GTs. These tyres appear to have better than average ratings using the mandatory info each manufacturer has to supply. What initially drew me to the GTs was the ride quietness factor. After more investigation I found the decibel readings quoted were for environmental purpose so therefore would be measured outside the car. Could I be mistaken in thinking that a quiet ride externally means a quiet ride internally?

It should translate to the interior as well, you are correct. Tire roar is really the only thing that creates noise, and it can be heard both inside and out. I like my Sumitomo HTR Z-III's because they're very quiet and rated as a super high performance summer tire, but you sound like you've done some good research on these Dunlaps. If they suit your needs, go for them!
