I just put fuel in when the gauge gets down to a quarter of a tank, don't look at the mileage or mpg. If I was worried about that I'd of bought a diseasel!

Yea I always reset the trip when I fill up.
Filled up today for 63. Got 320 out of the tank. Normally fill up at just below a quarter left or about 70 miles. Drive a 325i manual. |

Trip almost every time. £30 quid a time when the fuel light comes on usually about 50 miles left. Anything from 140 to 160 miles. 07 e91 320d.

my 320i
for every 10 pounds of petrol i get 30-35 miles round town,
motorway driving would increase miles to around 50miles per tenner just wondered what others driving the 320i get on average?? 'been driving veedub tdi's for the past couple of years, and this is my first beemer which is lovly to drive but definetly thirsty around town |

That is the best case cruise scenario I've seen. I average 28MPG overall in my 335i but I spend too much time in the city. On a drive it will produce 35MPG at motorway speeds but can do more if you spend time saving fuel. |

My computer has once read that I could get 550 miles to a full tank when I was stupidly granny like. 65mph cruise all the way.
On average I do an 8 mile trio to work and back. My car only gets warm in the last 3 mins of the drive. So I am always running rich, burning lots of fuel. If it is all town driving I get about 240miles MAX! That it still driving carefully..but once it does warm up I sometimes have some fun. |

85% of my daily drive to work and back is relaxed driving no nonsense. I may put my foot down for a short stint here and there but that's more in the way home... Who the fk wants to get into work earlier than required Averaging 28mpg in 335i is brilliant. I'd have easily got me a 335i due to its lower outright price, but I do cover about 15-18k mileage per annum so it made sense to get a D, plus the enormity of torque is still novel for me, 9 months on!! Anyways, I don't actually care too much about few miles more/less as I just love driving her ! Remap is on the agenda and soon too! |
