Back in CH after 8.5 hrs drive

Busy day today Off the ferry this morning and through Belgium Luxembourg, France and into CH. About 700 kms. Just putting my feet up now.

Kept to the speed limits (but enjoyed the Peage Grand Prixs after paying ). Actually used the cruise a lot. Very helpful. Quite happy with the progress. Got from Zeebrugge to Zurich on 3/4 tank.

One thing I had noticed was my car ALWAYS had a noticeable and niggly pull to the left when in the UK. BUT over all the roads today it was arrow straight. There must be a slight bit of pull built in to the steering geometry to counteract the crown in the roads ...

Any of you guys who drove over to the Ring notice the same thing with your UK spec cars ??

Was thinking of hanging onto this car and bringing it back to the UK, but might not do that now.

No, the car shouldn't pull to the left if it's setup properly. That's one of the problems my car is having - dealer is doing a KDS and checking the hub alignments as well to make sure it's ok. Does the car pull to one side under fairly heavy braking, particularly when the road is flat (ie german autobahn)? You might want to have it checked out, although if it's ok in Germany, the problem might be very minor.

It was doing it slightly from the start - but only in the UK. Nothing at ALL on the other side of the road.

I had a full KDS done at the BMW Garage when I was back too.

Still pulls slightly to the left. But again, not at all on the other side of the road. I was assuming that there is a slight pull to counteract the crown in the roads.

It does not pull when braking on a smooth surface.

Am I right is saying that the E92 335D has an electric steering rack ? Perhaps that needs aligned to its midpoint ....

Carlos: Usually in Switzerland but was home for August for a holiday.

Ah, must be all that extra weight due to the oil-burning lump up front
