Dropped / PSS9's
A few (really bad camera phone) picks of my ride with the PSS9's installed.
I was mainly chasing improved stiffness, not a lower ride. Installers indicated that the front (no pic as it was blurry) is at it's max, rear has been adjusted to suit the front. Once my body kit mods are done I'll give it a proper wash and take some good pics. |

Thanks, they were expensive (like anything BMW) but I think well worth the $.
Now all I need is for the road to Akuna Bay to dry out a bit for some 'testing'. |

Great Mod
End result is great. After waiting impatiently for the roads to dry I finally got a good drive down the old road to Brooklyn this afternoon (sans kids).
The car really bites more with none of the understear I had experienced before and the rear seams tighter in terms of how if follows the front through the corner. Undulations in the road no longer seam to cause the car to be unsetted which is very assuring if your traveling at speed. When coming out of long bends I seam to feel there is much reduced body roll but I still find I can loose some traction coming out of a bend if I apply WOT without due dilligence. Will probably play with the rear settings to see if that helps before looking to change to a beafier rear sway. Only issues I have had are; a) Front near side tyre was rubbing at full lock on the oil cooler cover. I removed the cover and refitted in a slightly different position and it now does not rub at all. I might need to make a small bracket to hold the plastic back a little bit but will wait and see if I get more rubbing. b) I am getting some clunking from the offside rear corner @ low speed, sounds almost like the spring is reseating itself which is something I have read about. From what I have read if the installer used the wrong washer or something along those lines this can be the result. Will get the installers to double check this tomorrow. End of the day if you don't mind the large drop these are a great bit of kit. S |

Here are a couple of pics, I am not as artistic as some members so appologies for the quality. The few body kit parts will be installed next week when I get time to give the car to the panel shop, then the exhaust & hopefully LSD and I will be finished (maybe).
