Check out Dynavin or Kenwood if you really want it. |

Got to agree the Bezels look bad for all this stuff.

And there is a big problem finding competent shops to work on BMW's |

Personally, I wouldn't bother with any of the head units made to fit our cars. I would just get a high quality aftermarket and deal with having the bezel stick out a little.

Even the dynavin guys don't do a good fitment.

And I don't see why as they designed it specifically for a BMW. |

Maybe if enough of us request it Alpine will make a perfect fit dash kit for our cars. So far they are the only company that can make a nice looking dash kit.

The reason all the head units and bezels have the HVAC sticking out a bit is to fit the depth of the HVAC controls that are moved down. There is dash plastic behind there, pull out the head unit and take a look. There is only so much vertical space available and by the time you put a CD slot, a screen, and the HVAC controls in there the HVAC controls are down to where there is plastic behind them. The Dynavin and the knock offs are done in this way, some of the the double bezels do it in a "stepped" way having the HVAC controls protrude. The zenec mimics the original shape but does it by eliminating the CD/DVD drive, no CD slot alows all the parts to move up and avoid the interference at the bottom of the dash.
