I visited this weekend and invested in a few bits including the Purple Rain product, works like Iron-X, snow foam lance (with green snow) and the drying towel and some other bits. Good stuff and fun applying the snow

No offence OP, but isn't this snow foam type product a bit like snake oil? I would expect the snow foam on the ground around the car to be dirty, if it removes dirt.

I need convincing.

From what little I know it doesn't remove dirt by magic. It acts as a lubricant so when you rub against the body work dirt isn't dragged across the paint work leaving scratches.

Snow foam will not give a complete touchless wash like many people expect it to. It's a pre-wash product and designed to help loosen dirt and reduce the chance of marring the paintwork during the wash stage

I tried it Del,waste of money and time.

Looks good admittedly,but it makes the task of cleaning a car no easier or quicker,a good pre wash blast with a Karcher or similar is just as effective as snow foam.

Snow foam is a pre wash but what I have found is the shampoo stage takes FAR less effort, your protection should last longer and I'd is light soiling like road salt the snow foam and rinse will do the job without having to physically touch the paint work which is where your swirls and marring come from.

I've been using snow foam for the past 3 years, even the wash today! But I must admit. Recently I started to think and notice that, it doesn't really seem to do much?!

I don't even bother diluting it and thought it would be even more powerful but all the crap are still stuck on until I wipe it with shampoo and wash mitt.

Getting the mixture right is crucial, makes a big difference to how much dirt comes off. Also important as to how dried on the dirt is, I am a great supporter of snow foam as it makes the task easier and leaves an 80% clean car ready for the shampoo and mitt. The less to be removed by that means the better.

I find snowfoam is just the equivalent of leaving dishes to soak in the sink before washing them. It just softens and loosens the dirt to make washing easier.

I'm tempted to try Valet Pro Citrus wash - it seems to be the next big thing, does the same job much quicker, easier and cleaner than snowfoam though.

I see foam as a luxury, maybe try it once but a good rinse with warm water should be good enough. Foam does look cool though, would certainly make your neighbours neck turn 360

Advice from the autoglym rep at the sports car show was its not what it appears, looks good but that is it.
I appear to get better results or the same results just going back to the old method of power washing the crud and then just washing, using the two-bucket method, with a car shampoo.
