WTB Valentine 1 or 9500ix

I'm looking for either a Valentine v1 or Passport 9500ix radar detector.
Let me know if you are selling one!

When looking at V1's be sure to know the version and understand what capabilities change from version to version.

Some say the V1 is more comparable to the RedLine than the 9500ix; you need to consider what driving conditions you need it for.

I probably should've been more specific.
I'm looking for the latest version of the V1

and I understand that the Redline is more comparable to the V1 in terms of sensitivity, but the GPS functions on the 9500ix might be useful to me in my town.

If your commute/usual routes are loaded with false alarms (auto door openers) the V1 and Redline will drive you batty. You can get the V1's Savvy which cuts volume of alerts at low speeds but it's still beeping. Same with redline it has automute which gives yiu full volume for the first few beeps then cuts it automatically.

GPS is really the only option if you want to totally block alerts but its not without its problems. I personally have seen my 9500i block out real threats including LEO's and my own radar gun. Which is why I dont trust it and it rolls with the wifey. That being said, she has never recieved a speeding ticket with it. *knocks on wood*

Which is why you shut off K and X, since law enforcement really doesn't use either of those bands anymore. Problem solved.

Not the greatest advice, check out radar bands encountered in KS:

Doesn't look like any X in KS but plenty of statess still use it including my neighbor NJ.

And K is still widely used in NY.

have a 9500i, no X. If you are aware of the differences the savings are worth it. I never needed to know where red light cameras are. Its in the for sale with the blend mount and hard wire kit for the BMW
