Replacement wheel locking nut key

Managed to sheer mine today with completely over-tightened bolts today.

Do BMW sell the key on its own or full set only?

Any idea of the price or better place to buy?

There are 31 different keys - go to your dealer and they will be able to identify it from their masters. Last time I did this they happened to have my key in stock. £7.24

When I bought my old car it was missing the key, went to BMW and they were happy to sell me the key on its own like Xenon says. Took my VIN, entered it into their system and it told them which key I needed, was pretty impressive.

Cheers.

£7.24 sounds good. Thought it would be a lot more.

I'm at BMW on Monday for my brake fluid change and security update.

My key has 3 letters and 2 numbers which I thought would be all I needed. Either way we will get it sorted.

Yes they do, I lost mine last month, called them up and bought one for £10. few pennies more than the ones quoted above but I won't argue. I needed it!

That was the one I was using. I thought there would only be one.

I think he means it's worth keeping a spare one in the boot. You do only get one. They can get it from the VIN or by trial and error with the master set.

Get the dealer to take out the lockers and buy a proper set of locking nuts. The OEM locked bolts are of NO deterrent to anyone who looks to nick your wheels.
