Upgrading Rotors/Pads on my e90 xi. Suggestions?

Ready to upgrade rotors and pads. Looking for something a little more than stock.

Any suggestions?

Ok to start with the fronts? My rears are still pretty solid. I think one of my fronts might be a little warped... a little squeak/noise.

Slotted? Slotted and drilled? Ceramic?

Thanks!

This is what I'm looking at right now...

Seems like a good setup.

The Stop Tech Cross Drilled and hawk Ceramic are a popular combo.

The Hawk Ceramic are quiet, brake as good or better then OEM, and offer minimal brake dust.

Turner Motorsport has a nice kit. I went with the TMS brake kit with slotted rotors, hawk HPS pads, SS lines, and ATE super blue fluid

I went with the exact same combo and the brakes are fantastic!
Super linear feel, quiet, virtually no dust, and the slotted rotors look sick too.
Definitely would recommend!

I did a full rotor and pad replacement about 1500 miles back all around at 81,300miles. Installed Hawk Performance Quiet Slot Rotors and Hawk Ceramic Brake Pads along with new new caliper pins and pad retainer hardware using Hawk supplied grease. Bedded per Hawk instructions and absolutely not a peep-no groan, squeak or squeal. Initial brake peddle pressure is marginally higher verse stock pads, but is very linear through braking range with very good bit. I can't tell any dust verse regular road dirt, so I would say very low dust. Very happy and would recommend.

I have Centric high carbon rotors (plain) with Akebono pads. I feel that the performance is superior compared to OEM at a much affordable price.

How do they hold up for a few days of track use? Didn't think they're good for that, though I've done a few days on OEM brakes, so it can't be worse than that?

How do the Turner rotors compare to a brand name one like Stoptech? Or are they considered a brand in their own right?

I am thinking about the R1 concepts premium line.. slotted.. they have a good deal on ebay, they sell them directly.. I was gonna get the turner combo but shipping kills that deal

I'm not typically an ebay supporter for performance/luxury car parts, but anyone here ever try ABT on ebay?

http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com/viewi...d=160662265943

Very good quality, and very well priced. $135 for a pair of front rotors shipped can't be beat anywhere. I and many others have used them with great results on the 2.0t A4, including a BT car that sees some track days. Paired them with some Akebono ceramic pads, and the quietness, low dust, and performance cannot be beaten for the price.

Did all 4 corners with these rotors for under $200. Never regretted it one bit, and they look great to boot. They aren't lightweight by any means, but if you are worried about weight, these aren't for you anyway.
