I used to run a similar setup when this car was in its infancy with methanol injection. I learned quite fast that high quality parts and doing things right the first time are a better approach when it comes to methanol injection.
I would get a dedicated charge pipe that uses real aquamist bungs, like our ER Charge pipe with custom meth bungs option. |

Unless you have pressurized the system to 20 PSI and it can hold that pressure for a sustained period you won't know if you are leaking boost. However, that is not even half the beef I have with the setup as I'm actually in more fear of the adapter falling into the charge pipe. It has potential to loosen over time and the metal piece can get ingested into the motor. Not worth the risk. I've seen stuff like this happen over the years on many other platforms. Atleast with a dedicated charge pipe with dedicated metal meth bungs you know it will not leak and you will know it can't drop into the motor. The only approach better then that is with the use of AN Fittings. (Although any approach can leak when not properly installed). Good luck with your setup. I'm not here to argue it can't work, I'm here to offer options to the OP. I like to suggest the best for my customers so you will have to excuse me if it comes off as offensive when I say I would not recommend this. As I mentioned previously, I've used similar approaches in the past, and by no accident, when I switched to a dedicated methanol bung the car ran like a top, wastegate duty cycles were reduced. <--- That means it was leaking. |
