Slightly different topic but what do you guys do to protect the leather seats in your car?

Looks great that referb well worth the moneyz especially with cream. good call!
mine is rubbing on the driver door. Mainly jeans and i have to get in the car oddly sometimes. Work is ok as suit pants aren'tan issue. My mum had her e46 leather done at Leathercare in Warrington (for all who cant get out of the Northwest) after a local garage damaged them with some dodgy chemical cleaner. lethal!!! http://www.leathercaredirect.com/index.php They did a great job and i will definitely be paying a trip for mine in the future. |

Is there a way to avoid any rips / tears in a leather other than not wearing the jeans?

them colour kits do mask the problem yes, but from experience they dont last
the colour holds no structure, it may rub off again the pro's fill in any gaps, re-generate the texture, colour, and then laqure - this final stage is where the protection lies plus mine are a mat finish, the black bmw leather (not the individual) is like a semi-mat (my e88 seats are getting done next time) and theres nothing worse them a glossy finish repaire on a mat seat - stands out a mile so if you do get work done, make sure they know how to laqure it the same and get the texture the same as well as colour... |

Its the gliptone repair kit stuff. I must say its holding up really well. Looks like it will last 12-18 months before needing touching up. The kit comes with a 2 separate bottles to the main dye which allows you to lighten or darken the shade if need be but out the bottle it was a straight match
