This might be on the boarder of being in the wrong thread, but I really need a shop in Northern VA with a roller who is capable of rolling my rear fenders to fit my track set up with out butchering and cracking the paint. The tires are 255/40/17 and have been told they will fit Pre-LCI rear with no rubbing but will rub LCI so I need a mild roll.

Does anyone know of a shop in Northern VA (bonus points for Arlington) that will take the extra time to heat the paint and ensure a smooth mild roll?

What are your offsets, though? I seems odd that you need a roll for a 255 as this is a stock size (unless you're running an aggressive offset or you meant to say "front" instead of rear.

It is the rear with the wider 255/40 r888 tires (I believe the stock tires are 255/35) and it is 17/9.5/35mm offset. The fronts shouldn't need rolling, but the 5mm spacer and -2.8 degrees camber should help.

Yup, your calcs are dead on . Nice setup! It's not so much that the 40 profile is "wider" but rather a bit taller. It's the spacer that may necessitate the roll though.

Where are you putting that sweet setup to use? Summit? I'm hoping to get to to check it out.

I am waitlisted for the Friday at the track in June but defintely going to the Friday at the track on july 27th, which is oddly enough a Saturday...hahaha

255/35 is stock for rears ON 18's

255/40 on 17 is the same exact height as 255/35-18, both 25" tall

It's the lower offset on your new wheels that require you to roll your fenders as they will be sticking out too much. R-comps also run wider than a street tire but the 40 profile on a 17 is fine.

OP: Got a guy down in Fredericksburg if you're willing to make the drive. He's done a couple fender rolls on e46 m3's. He heats and rolls. Real good price too.
