dash reading on start up...

i guess its the mileage to the next service, but when i bought the car it said 13000, after 2 weeks of having the car it now says 14000 on start up, what does this mean? because at this rate i may never have to get the car serviced

14000 miles till next service, the timing depends on your driving style. It may mean that the previous owner did a lot of short/stop start type driving and if you are doing motorway stuff the service interval has changed as a result. My previous 320d indicated 20,000 miles between services. My 530i had its first service at 15.5K miles.

sounds like it then, i do many motorway miles and dont rag it that much too, so hopefully as the weeks/months go on it will increase further, btw whats the longest it will go to 20k??

cool i only plan to keep the car 2 years, however it will be 50k miles so i may have to pay for a service...lol

After 2 years it needs the brake fluid changed.
