How many DD with muffler delete?

So I have been debating on what to do about getting more sound lately, and I'm thinking keeping the secondaries but deleteing the mufflers will be the best option.

I can deal with a droney exhaust but how bad is it really? How many of you guys DD with muffler delete and DPs? My last car was really loud so I can deal with some drone.

Seems like it is very acceptable on a 6MT. Not always recommended for the AT guys.

ehhhh when I deleted my secondaries I had found out that one was cracked from running too much boost, I don't know the downsides of a cracked cat but keeping them in does choke up the turbos a little bit downstream.

I am wondering the same. Catless DP's sound great, but I want a bit of a louder exhaust, and have been contemplating doing a muffler delete.

I did the muffler delete to try it out and hated it.

It was way too loud and not in the good way.

It droned like crazy in my AT. Caused so many rattles inside the cabin too. Its fun the first few days though.

I have it and enjoy it, but I can live with the drone.
It honestly isn't as bad as everyone says, you will get used to it after a few days.
Just turn up the music and you will forget about it.

The drone really isn't the issue for me. It's not that bad if you have been in cars with zero mufflers or cats. The part that bothers me is the raspy Honda noise.

I have catless dps, no secondary cats (vibrant resonators in place) and a muffle delete.

The drone isn't bad at all. I can drive all day with no music and you can barely hear it and it only kicks in at low rpm. I'm also 6AT. Maybe it's the way my shop did it and the type of piping they used. My setup has less drone than setups I've sat in with Dps and aftermarket exhausts. I had an aftermarket exhaust before and it droned more than my straight pipe setup. The sound is amazing! Only problem is the cold starts as I feel bad for my neighbors. Police have driven behind me plenty of times and they don't pull me over (obviously I take it easy when I see them) but still it's not crazy loud when you're just driving normally. Go WOT and it's a monster.

Oh and I forgot to mention zero rasp because of the vibrant resonators.

Hmmm lol

Where did you get these resonators from?

My last car was header back exhaust with a single muffler and it was raspy and loud, so I'm used it lol The car right now with catless DPs is still crazy quiet driving around.

Vibrant Performance. Google them. You need part 1792. Everyone uses them.

First I did downpipes and I was in the same position as you. Then i did the cat delete and it sounded amazing but the rasp was bad. Put in the resonators and the rasp was completely gone. Then did the muffler delete because I wanted it louder.

I've heard catless downpipes with mid cats and muffler delete sounds pretty good. The cats cutting down on the drone alot.

i DD a muffler delete. its perfectly fine. it tones down quite a bit when warmed up. Cold starts are loud but nothing to crazy. i say do it! People think PE drones. its all about preference. its cheaper, weighs alot less with no mufflers, and sounds like an aftermarket exhaust honestly.

Been doing it for about 4 months now with catless downpipes, if you do a lot of highway driving I wouldn't recommend it. Other than that the drone is bearable

I think I may have to do this from the sounds of it. I can deal with some drone and turning the music up does help lol

I don't do a whole lot of highway either

Im thinking about doing the muff delete on m 09 335i xdrive, I was worried about it being 6AT, is there any drone when cruising around?

It snaps, crackles, and pop! The sound is intoxicated.
