2006 E90 Ipad mini installation

Step 1. Make aluminum frames for Ipad to mount to. One is the front plate, the other is the one the ipad rests in.

Step 4 Use t shirt to make the shape and fiberglass. Then add fiberglass to smooth it out front and inside through the perforated holes.

Working for the fitment and sanding everrything flat. Needs more work to fill in the gaps and only using fiberglass, no bondo.

Almost done. Perforated aluminum for the ipad to rest against and painted to see where the flaws are. I should have it finalized this week, but here is a stopping point and where everything is going.

I am just using a 4 ft headphone jack cable going from the iPad to the jack in the center console. I did notice the audio seems better coming from the iPad mini compared to my iPhone 5.

It took a lot of work to do. I should have made templates if I would have thought anyone else might want a frame.
