If it catches on your fingernail, it's probably too deep to fix with just a scratch remover.

Is the paint chipped off?

If not try using Quixx.

Q: What if I have scratches that I can feel with my fingernail. How do I go about removing them?
A: You’ll need to fill the scratch in with touch up paint and wet sand the blob down using a particular grit of automotive sand paper. Once that is complete you’ll need to polish out the sanding marks with a finer polish.

anyone got pointers for the wet sanding?

Pointers for wet sanding:
1) Get unigrit sandpaper... 2000 or 3000 grit.
2) Use plenty of lubricant while sanding - I use quick detailer, others use distilled water and soap
3) Try to sand LIGHTLY only the area that needs it - any additional sanding around the area will leave hairline scratch marks visible in certain angles in direct sunlight.

So then do you use sand paper AFTER the touchup paint is dried up?
