60,000 mile maintenance

Hi All,

I was at the dealership this morning dropping the car off for the battery connector recall and my SA told me that 60,000 mile maintenance is coming up. He said it includes updated software etc.... so, do i need to take my cobb off for this? or leave it on there?

Thanks

You should ALWAYS uninstall your tune before going to the dealer.

I'd pass on a 60K service, there is nothing to do other than inspections and filter changes and a oil change if due. You can do it yourself in about 30 minutes tops.

been there many times with the tune on, never said anything about it, i am not sure what this software update is as the SA doesn't have any details about it. In regards to changing the oil, i never done it on a BMW, is it hard? any how-to's here somewhere?

Thanks

Oil change is the same as any other car, lucking on BMW's they have a little hatch that you open on the under tray for access to the drain plug. Super easy. Do a search and you'll find a DIY pretty quick.
