I've tried a couple versions of INPA, the latest being 5.0.4 (INPA EA-90x), and I can't find my DDE 7.3 in the engine menu. Same issue with the transmission.

What version are you guys using with your 335D or am I doing something wrong?

Hi Guys,

Don't worry, you just need to edit the E90.ENG or E90.GER file in INPA\CFGDAT and add this one line in this section:
[ROOT_MOTOR]
DESCRIPTION=Engine
ENTRY= DDE73N57,DDE 7.3 for N57 / N57,

After this you will be able to read your engine.
Good luck.

I tried this tonight and I received the following message.

" Fehler! Aufruf uber Gruppendatei : G_MOTOR.GRP"
"Error! Call about group file" using google translate
"IFH-0006: COMMAND NOT ACCEPTED"
" Das Programm wird abgebrochen!"
"The program is terminated" using google translate

Do I also need to add something to the G_MOTOR.GRP file? Thanks for your help!

Do you have ECU folder in EDIABAS updated?
Do you have the newest SP-daten 49?

I'm using Sp-Daten 48.1

I have updated the ECU folder in EDIABAS. It contains two files with DDE73 in the filename, not sure this is relevant

04DDE731.PRG
07DDE73.PRG

I will try to obtain Daten 49. Thanks!

If it won't work, try to edit this same line to:
ENTRY= DDE72N57,DDE 7.2 for N57 / N57

Check whether your C:\EC-APPS\INPA\SGDAT contains these two files DDE73N57.ipo
DDE72N57.ipo

I removed and re-installed EDIABAS 6.4.7 and INPA 5.0.4 and I upgraded to SP-Daten 49.

I added both of the lines you suggested and confirmed I have the IPO files you have listed.

INPA now can't find the G_MOTOR.GRP file and that's because it isn't in the EDIABAS/ECU directory. There is a D_MOTOR.GRP file in the directory however that's not the file it's looking for.

I will now try to find newer versions of EDIABAS and INPA...perhaps what I'm using isn't fully compatible with SP-Daten 49.

Bumping this up as i'm facing the same problem. I'm running SP-daten V49 and still cannot access the ecu.

Did you finally solve the problem?

Bump for this as it did not work for me.
Planning to move on to N57 or N47 and both of them are not in my inpa.
I have edited
1- E90.ENG or E90.GER file in INPA\CFGDAT
2- Made sure that I have N47 and N57. ipo files in my ECU folder.

Also, my SP Daten files are from V52.

But I still get the error

What did you write in E90.ENG and GER?
Do you have this file dde73kwp.ipo in your SGDAT folder in INPA?

Same problem here. I got 50.2 daten files, but cannot find dde70kwp.ipo and dde7uds.ipo file anywhere. I got E70, however I believe the reason for the error is the same as for E90 here.
