Getting my tint on Thursday... %?

Hi guys~~!!!

After researching the tinting places in OC, I'm headin over to The Ultimate Shield on Thursday! I'm planning to have 25% all around and 35% in the rear window. Do you think it'll look good with my Sparkling Graphite paint?? Too dark...?? Just want some second opinions and advice..

why not get 25 or 35 all the way around. The 10% difference is negligible and not noticeable.

You'll probably get better responses in the Cosmetic forum btw.

Here's a pic of 35% all around. Perfect IMHO.

If I can choose, I would want 5 or 10% all around too bad it's illegal in my state.

I went with 35% all around as well and it's perfect.

Just curious...why would you want your rear window lighter than your sides?

I would go with 25% but I am afraid that it could be too dark at night

I have 20% on my other cars but went with 35% on the 335i (legal in GA). I actually like it, and more importantly it's what my wife wanted and it's her car Another trick my tint guy used that I had not seen was some kind of glue on the tint in the black dotted areas, seems to have done a better job sticking than other jobs I have seen. I'll post some pics in the next few days.

+1 on Evo's car. 35% IMO looks prefect for SG, classy and coo at the same time.

What is this ceramic everyone mentions all the time? What is the difference between ceramic and normal tint?

The reason why is because on my previous car, I had 35% on all my windows, including the rear window, and this time I wanted a little darker only on my side windows, because I just thought that it would affect my visuals when I look from the rear view mirror while I am driving.

What interior color do you have? It will make a difference.

I have SG with black interior, and I went with F1 Pinnacle 35% on all the sides, and 15% on the back window. I think it looks pretty good, although I would have gone 15% all around if A.) it was legal, B.) the wife didn't like 35% better ("her" car afterall... )

Really, reason B factored more into the decision than A did. I don't have any pics available yet though.

i think it would depend on type of tint for color purposes. if you want to really reduce heat you must go ceramic. huper optik is a slightly different tone. i have 40 HO and it blocks out a ton of heat(more than regular limo). w/ regular tint i guess 30, 35 is standard and looks the best.

Hmm.. I have black leather for my interior.. maybe it will look too dark.. damn.. kind of leaning back to 35% again.. lolz does ceramic 35% and regular 35% have much difference in darkness? If ceramic is slightly darker, then i'll probably just go for the 35%;;

Oh, and I heard if you don't do ceramic tint on your car, then there might be a problem with the Comfort Access.. is that true??

ceramic tint is slightly darker(looks different, and much better imo), but from the inside very easy to see out of. but again the best thing about it is heat reduction. i got it done a couple weeks ago, live in socal also, and didn't really notice when it was over 100 degrees.

o yeah, and HO only comes in whole ten%s, 60, 50, 40, etc.
