Unhappy I can't take it!!!

I can't stand it any longer! Ordered my e92 335i in Early August. The car is on a ship (Liberty) due in 9/17/07. It is the first thing I think about when a wake and the last thing about when I shut out the light. It's putting a strain on the marriage. My wife is sick of hearing about the incredible range of available torque, the ambient lighting, 255 tires in the the back, etc...Any advice on how to cope with this horrid waiting period. i am twice as excited about taking delivery of this car as I was when I took delivery of my Z4 3.0 in 03'!!

Have you been tracking the car's progress the entire time? For the first week or two after I ordered my car I wasn't so bad... but now that my car has officially hit the U.S. (it's at VPC right now) it's starting to get really tough to wait. I hope my CA was right when he said the estimated delivery date is this coming Saturday!

I have been tracking my car from day 1. The vessel it is on is right in the middle of the Atlantic. Now I'm tracking the friggin' weather to assure myself no hurricanes or storm patterns delay its arrival. I'm sick!

same boat when i was waiting for my car...Wife was annoyed...Make sure you pay more attention to her now, because when you car arrives you will no longer pay attention to your wife....Use your time wisely now since you probably have about another 2 and half week wait till delivery.....Take her out more often and do things that she wants to do cuz when the car comes, the only thing you want to do is drive the car, wash the car, stare at the car, stare at the car some more, order mods for the car, install the mods, order some more mods for the car.............you get the picture!!!!!!If you

man i ordered mine in July, and it has been waiting at the freaking port since last Saturday 9/8. If it doesn't get on the 9/13 boat, I will need to see a shrink. I might as well go into a comma and wake up when the car comes.

I wish they could just make the 3's in Spartanburg so that they can be delivered faster.....

No problem waiting for my '08 335i coupe cause it's the wifes car.

At 6' 3" 260 lb I'll stick to my 1 ton diesel 4x4 truck.

Yes,I'm a redneck,but I appreciate fine cars too.

Just be happy it only has one ocean to cross. Here is a photo I took from my office of the final ship my car came in on last week after having travelled from Bremerhaven to Baltimore through the Panama Canal, stop at port in San Diego, off loaded in Oxnard, trucked from the VPC to Tacoma and reboarded ship to home port.

Same car, different ship

And here was the first ship my car rode as I caught her going through the Panama Canal on a live webcam:

I think this is the car in your dream, sans the Yellow Paint!

You could try freezing yourself and time the thaw for the car's arrival.

A Clever idea. In my case I got stuck as a juror on a 4 week murder trial - worked wonders for occupying the time.
