XM Radio on Satellite prepped car

Can you use an XM Radio receiver on a satellite prepped car? Note: we already have XM Radio so it would only cost $5.00/mo versus $12.95/mo with Sirius...plus I don't have to get use to knowing which stations I like and don't like.

BMW does not have XM as an option and as far as I know, the new optics will not work with XM connect. I am just using a MyFi with the car since I already take it to work every day. I had to run an antenna to the back window, so it is not as clean as the head unit Sirius hookup.

I did pay for the satelitte wiring just in case I will get an opportunity to use it, but right now I am pretty happy with the Myfi setup. I bought a Kuda mount that takes seconds to install and remove, so I have the Myfi mounted on it. Here is a picture (I plan to change out the flag sticker on the Myfi with something that goes with the car):

I chose XM for all the MLB game broadcasts. Just finished installing my Pioneer Airwave XM2go Portable this morning. I'll share some pics later.
