AST 5100 installation, please help

I have just installed a set of AST 5100 but the spring perch is too low. To avoid rubbing on the coilovers, I have to add 15mm spacers but now they rub on the fenders.

Had anyone installed 5100 on e9x with stock top mount? Can anyone help me to set these up correctly by bringing up the perch also avoid rubbing on the adjustable sway mount? Thanks in advance.

Springs are AST 7" 60 N/mm with helper.

My rims' off set was good with stock suspension.
ET35 8.5 with 235 tire

below pics are with 15mm spacer and rubbing the fender.

Perhaps removing the helper would help? Also seems like you have about 10mm of clearence there, you could probably getaway with 10 or 12 mm spacers.

What is your camber up front?

+1 test a smaller spacer, the minimum you can get away with.

Evochuck was right. 10mm spacer is the minimum size to avoid rubbing the coil but it will still rub with the fender (I think there is only 5mm between tire and fender originally). Since I already have a 15mm spacer, so I rather invest in a better solution.

CJ421: front camber is -1 with M3 control arms.

Set up more negative camber. What's the point of M3 control arms if you're only going to run -1.

Lol. Damn, I May need -3 camber to clear.

Will it works by replacing the front spring to 6 inches?

Coming from a one time AST owner I understand your concern. If your car was like mine the wheel barely rubbed the spring perch. I got enough clearance by simply grinding the spring perch down slightly. I also was not using a help spring as they are not needed with the little amount of stroke the dampers have.

Thx subieworx, are you using 7" springs and without camber plates?

I understand the plates are usually an inch shorter than OE top mount

I am thinking to buy hyperco helper and 6" front. Buy I afraid 6" cuz insufficient travel.
