E93 rear chrome trim plasti-dip opinions?

I'm thinking about plasti-dipping the chrome trim on my E93 but there is a bit in the back that actually makes contact with the rear window and I'm worried that the friction would just rub the plasti-dip off or deform it and make it look bad. What do y'all think? I guess I could always dip that part first and do some experimental conversions.

Also does anyone know what color my interior is called? I can't tell if it's oyster, tan, beige or what.

I think that's beige since the tops of the doors are the same color. I have oyster and the tops of the doors are black. Are your carpets beige too? With oyster the carpets are black.

EDIT: Yup that's beige interior. I just check my pictures again and realized a lot more is black on oyster. The whole back deck and rear center console is black too. I added a picture of my oyster interior to my album if your interested.

At least my floor mats, and rear deck don't show dirt since they are black.

Ya I'd prefer saddle brown nappa leather but I didn't have much of a choice when I got the car.

I don't even have floor mats, always hated em. It's like putting a plastic sheet on your furniture. I drive the car like I stole it and haul lumber in the back with the top down. It's my SUV hah!

Keep us posted. I'm thinking of doing the same. Either that or vinyl wrap it. Love to hear your experience.

^same here!! I'm thinking of vinyl wrapping but I would be curious to know your finding/experience with plasti-dip.

Okay, I'll test it out tomorrow. I'll dip just the rear and put the top up and down a few times and see if it looks like there is any abrasion.

I'm waiting for the dip to dry now then I'll open and close the top a few times and see what happens.

Total fail, the geometry and materials are actually too complex to dip. I didn't even try putting the top down and scrapped it. Vinyl might work but I have 0 experience with vinyl.
